FY2010 Challenge Areas

The Office of Groundwater and Regional review teams evaluated proposals for three "challenge areas" in groundwater availability:

  1. estimating groundwater use for principal aquifers,
  2. monitoring the effects of climate change on groundwater resources, and
  3. assessment of saline groundwater resources.

The response and quality of proposals was excellent. The projects selected for funding are listed below.
