USGS Water-Year Summary 2023
370907093144101 Springfield-Valley Park
Ozark Plateaus aquifer system
Roubidoux Formation
LOCATION - Lat 37°09'06.8", long 93°14'40.6" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.04, T.28 N., R.21 W., Greene County, MO, Hydrologic Unit 11010002,
REVISIONS HISTORY -
Revisions: Land-surface datum was updated to 1,296.73 ft NAVD88 on May 22, 2023, as determined by a GNSS survey by Missouri DNR. Land-surface datum was previously published as 1,295 ft NAVD88 from topographic map. Discrete water-level measurements prior to May 22, 2023, are referenced to the original datum.

A -1.7 ft measuring point height correction was applied to the period 07/25/2006 to 09/30/2008 after the period was previously approved. The height of the measuring point was found to be in error and needed to be corrected.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 1,296.73 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: unknown, 1.8 ft above land-surface datum, Jan. 1, 1968 to Oct. 1, 2020; unknown, 1.7 ft above land-surface datum, Oct. 1, 2020 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - July 26, 2006 to present.
GAGE - July 26, 2006 to January 2, 2007; DCP with float, encoder, and telemetry capability was installed as the water level recording device. January 3, 2007 to present DCP with vented, submersible pressure transducer and telemetry capability.
COOPERATION - Data furnished by Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR). Data processed by USGS and MDNR.
REMARKS - Data from July 26, 2006 to September 30, 2008 is fair based on the 15 water level measurements which were made during this period to verify recorded water levels. Data from October 01, 2008 to September 15, 2009 is fair based on the 3 water level measurements which were made during this period to verify the recorded water levels. Record from 09/16/2009 to 05/03/2010 is good based on 3 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded water levels and is accurate to +/- 0.1 ft. Record from 05/03/2010 to 11/22/2010 is good based on 3 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded water levels and is accurate to +/- 0.1 ft. However, the record from 11/22/2010 to 12/08/2011 is poor based on two water level measurements made during the period to verify the record and is accurate to +/- 1.5 ft. The pressure transducer prior to this period was working well and instrument drift was generally +/- 0.1 ft. Although the record looks correct, the water level measurements and Sutron reading had a discrepancy of 1.4 and .8 ft on consecutive site visits. Instrument drift has become excessive. The record from 12/08/2011 to 07/26/2012 is fair based on 2 water level measurements made during the period. Transducer drift on the site visit 05/16/2012 was off -1.84 ft. The next visit on 07/27/2012 was off by only -0.06 ft. Record is accurate to +/- 1.50 ft. The record from 07/27/2012 to 10/21/2013 is poor based on 6 water level measurements made during the period. Transducer drift was measured in excess of 6.00 ft on 08/15/2013 and 10/02/2013. The gage has a history of excessive drift. Transducer drift measured on the site visit on 05/16/2012 indicated a drift of -1.84 ft. Record is accurate to +/- 2.00 ft. The record from 10/22/2013 to 12/10/2014 is good based on 4 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data. Transducer drift was noted but not excessive. Record is accurate to +/- 0.20 ft. The record from 12/11/2014 to 04/04/2016 is good based on 3 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data. Transducer drift was noted but not excessive. Record is accurate to +/- 0.20 ft. The record from 04/05/2016 to 09/27/2016 is good based on 2 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data. Transducer drift was noted but not excessive. Record is accurate to +/- 0.20 ft. The record from 09/28/2016 to 04/04/2017 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data. Transducer drift was noted but not excessive. Record is accurate to +/- 0.20 ft. The record from 04/05/2017 to 03/28/2018 is good based on 2 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 03/29/2018 to 09/24/2018 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 09/25/2018 to 01/09/2019 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 01/10/2019 to 06/24/2019 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.30 ft. The record from 06/25/2019 to 01/08/2020 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.10 ft.
