LOCATION - Lat 43°06'12", long 89°30'42" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NE 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.11, T.7 N., R.8 E., Dane County, WI, Hydrologic Unit 07090001, on left bank at bridge at Parmenter Street (old U.S. Highway 12), 2.5 mi upstream from Lake Mendota, at Middleton.
DRAINAGE AREA - 18.3 mi² of which 1.22 mi² probably is noncontributing.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - July 1974 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder, crest-stage gage, and steel piling control. Datum of gage is 901.31 ft above NAVD of 1988.
REMARKS - Records are considered good except for estimated daily discharges which are poor and other periods as noted. Gage-height telemeter at station.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - --Maximum daily rainfall, 2.75 in., Apr. 13, 2014.
REMARKS - --Data are recorded to the nearest 5 or 15 minutes in the datalogger, depending upon flow conditions at the site. WY12: Rainfall estimated to be 0.00 for Nov. 10-11, 14, Dec. 17-18, 24, 31, Jan. 16, 21, 23-27, 30, Feb. 14, 21, 24-26, and Mar. 1-2, 5-6 because recorded precipitation was interpreted as collector snowmelt. Daily values are marked as estimated on Nov. 9, Dec. 22, 30, Jan. 1, and Feb. 29 because recorded precipitation was interpreted as a combination of rainfall and some collector snowmelt. Rain gage became partially clogged during event of Aug. 9. Assumed all rainfall during event occurred on Aug.9, and that all rainfall recorded on Aug. 10 was zero.
