Dec. 27, 2005 ZONECONC A Computer Program (ZONECONC) for Tabulating Concentration Statistics Using Results from the U.S. Geological Survey Modular Three-Dimensional Ground-Water Flow and Transport Model Instructions for installation and execution are provided below. For assistance, enhancement requests, or bug reports contact Phil Harte via e-mail sent to ptharte@usgs.gov. Availability of assistance for nonUSGS users is limited. ZONECONC runs only on personal computers using one of the Windows operating systems: Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT, Windows 2000, or Windows XP. INSTALLATION The executable code (.exe) of ZONECONC was compiled with a Fortran-95 compiler. zoneconcv1_5.exe ; compiled executable to run ----.f ; source code COMPILING The Fortran source code (.f) file can be used to compile the program. The distributed executable was compiled with Lahey/Fujitsu Fortran 95. (The use of product and firm names does not imply endorsement by the U.S. Government.) No support is provided for users who compile the code. EXECUTION The program and input files must be co-located in a common folder unless a batch file (OPTION 2) or system variable name (OPTION 3) is created. There are three basic options for running the program. OPTION 1 This is the easiest way to execute ZONECONC by co-locating the program with the input files. Copy the program into the folder where the data input files are located. In windows, double click on the executable program to open a new command window in which to run the interactive program session. OPTION 2 A batch file (.bat) is created, which references the location of the executable ZONECONC program, in the same folder with the input files. The batch file is run in windows similar to the executable program. OPTION 3 ZONECONC can also be run in a command window. The program name can be set as a system variable along with the location of the executable program. In this case, the program name can be typed into the command window in the folder that contains the input files without the need to co-locate the program.
