In MODFLOW-2000, the maximum number of allowed parameters is 999.  In MODFLOW-2005,-LGR, and -CFP the maximum number of allowed parameters is 2000. In MODFLOW-OWHM, the maximum number of allowed parameters is specified in the Basic package.

The number of observations and prior-information equations is not limited by the program.

In MODFLOW-2000, The maximum allowed numbers of zone and multiplier arrays is 1000. In MODFLOW-2005,-LGR  and -CFP there is not a limit on the maximum allowed numbers of zone and multiplier arrays.

In MODFLOW-2005,-LGR and -CFP the maximum number of parameter clusters is 20,000. If not specified, it will default to 2,000,000. In MODFLOW-OWHM, the maximum number of allowed parameter clusters is specified in the Basic package.

In MODFLOW-2005,-LGR and -CFP the maximum number of parameter instances is 50,000. In MODFLOW-OWHM, the maximum number of allowed parameter instances is specified in the Basic package. If not specified, it will default to 50,000.

In MODFLOW-2000, these limits are specified in param.inc.  In MODFLOW-2005,-LGR and -CFP these limits are specified in MODULE PARAMMODULE in the file gwf2bas7.f.

In MODFLOW-2000, the maximum number of stress periods is 1000. This is specified by the variable MXPER in mf2k.f.
