The MODFLOW Program Locations dialog box specifies the location where several programs related to MODFLOW-2005 are installed. It can be displayed by selecting Model|MODFLOW Program Locations... It will be displayed automatically, if the user attempts to export the MODFLOW or MODPATH input files and no file exists at the location specified.

The model programs, such as MODFLOW-2005, are not included with ModelMuse. They must be downloaded and installed separately.

By default, only those programs that are used in the current model are displayed although the user can also display the locations of other programs by clicking the + icon next to the program name. The edit boxes containing the program locations will have red backgrounds if no file is present at the location specified. The user can type in different locations or click the Browse button to browse to another location. If a program is not installed on the computer, the user can click on the URL next to the program name to open a web browser for the web page for the program.

The user can also specify the location of the text editor in which the MODFLOW listing file will be opened when MODFLOW finishes running. The text editor will only be used if the appropriate check box on the Options tab of the MODFLOW Options dialog box is checked.

If the location for ModelMonitor is specified correctly. ModelMonitor will be used to run MODFLOW and display selected output from MODFLOW. Otherwise, MODFLOW will be run in an command-line window.

The data in the MODFLOW Program Locations dialog box is stored in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\WRDAPP\ModelMuse\ModelMuse.ini.
