The data were collected by the 1991 study units. I am sending two copies of her article to each study unit and synthesis team. As the 1994 studies are busy writing, this may be a valuable reference for how you compare in concentration to previous studies. The 97 units have gotten back some of their data by now as well, and could do the same. The paper will also give you an idea of how Karen defined "background" or "reference" conditions, and how she evaluated the ecologic consequences in regards to Canadian guidelines. As a result of some of your feedback, the entire set of trace element news emails will be put on the web in Sept.-October. The location of the internal TE page will change. And both the internal and public pages will become more functional -- all because there are some staff reporting on the near horizon. I'll let you know more soon -- in the meantime, the current page locations continue to be: internal: http://wwwrvares.er.usgs.gov/nawqa-only/telements/ public: http://webserver.cr.usgs.gov/publications/trace/index.html -------------------------------------------------------------- Dennis R.
