# DATA_SET NAMES:
#
# The following files document the geospatial datasets and metadata used for producing USGS Scientific
# Investigations Report 2006-5315. This report documents dissolved-solids concentrations in the Southwestern
# United States and was produced as part of the U.S. Geological Survey, National Water-Quality Assessment
# Program. Brief descriptions of each dataset and the file with their metadata are listed below. All
# datasets are found in the geodatabase "DigitalPlateData.mdb" and its supporting files that are found
# in the folder "DigitalPlateData.idb" (do not separate these two). Metadata files are found in the directory
# "SWGW-2_GIS_Datasets_metadata".
#
#	accunits.txt -- metadata for the Acctunits dataset, which shows the extent of hydrologic accounting units.
#
#	airtemperature.txt -- metadata for the Airtemperature dataset, which shows general variation in mean daily
# average air temperature, 198097.
#
#	cities.txt -- metadata for the Cities dataset, which shows location of cities and towns in the study area.
#
#	dissolvedsolids.txt -- metadata for the Dissolvedsolids dataset, which shows the general distribution of
# specific ranges of dissolved-solids concentrations in basin-fill aquifers.
#
#	interstates.txt -- metadata for the Interstates dataset, which shows location of interstates in the study area.
#
#	lakes.txt -- metadata for the Lakes dataset, which shows location of lakes and reservoirs in the study area.
#
#	majaquifers.txt -- metadata for the Majaquifers dataset, which shows extent of selected principal aquifers in study area.
#
#	major_cities.txt -- metadata for the Major_cities dataset, which shows location of major cities in the study area.
#
#	major_rivers.txt -- metadata for the Major_rivers dataset, which shows the location of main stem rivers of the major river
# basins as defined in this study. Attributes for this layer include results from the SPARROW model.
#
#	majriverbasins.txt -- metadata for the Majriverbasins dataset, which shows the extent of major river basins as defined
# in this study on the basis of hydrologic subregions
#
#	otherroads.txt -- metadata for the Otherroads dataset, which shows the location of minor roads in the study area.
#
#	physioprovs.txt -- metadata for the Physioprovs dataset, which shows the extent of physiographic provinces in the study area.
#
#	physiosects.txt -- metadata for the Physiosects dataset, which shows the extent of physiographic sectoions in the study area.
#
#	precipitation.txt -- metadata for the Precipitation dataset, which shows general variation of mean annual total precipitation,
# for years 198097.
#
#	statehighways.txt -- metadata for the Statehighways dataset, which shows location of state highways in study area.
#
#	states.txt -- metadata for states the dataset, which shows State boundaries.
#
#	studyareaboundary.txt -- metadata for the Studyareaboundary dataset, which shows extent of study area.
#
#	subregions.txt -- metadata for the Subregions dataset, which shows extent of hydrologic subregions in study area.
#

# and for sedimentary rocks, age, and general yield of dissolved solids.
#
#	swsites.txt -- metadata for the Swsites dataset, which shows location of USGS surface-water-quality monitoring sites used
# in this study that have concentration, discharge, load, yield, and in some cases, trend data available
# for display. Data computed as part of this study on the basis of data in NWIS.
#
#	tributaries.txt -- metadata for the Tributaries dataset, which shows the location of tributary streams of the major river basins
# as defined in this study. Attributes for this layer include results from the SPARROW model.
