Leslie D Arihood/WRD/USGS/DOI 10/16/2007 04:51 PM Subject Available QW covers for Cambrio-Ordovician The cover names generally describe the contents with a couple of exceptions. The cover surf_buried refers to a two-polygon cover showing where the Cambrian/Ordovician is either at the bedrock surface or is buried beneath other bedrock deposits, like Silurian. The cover maj_nut includes major inorganics and nutrients. Data from the old RASA study are included in that cover along with the newer NAWQA data. The pesticide data is spread out over five different covers which are named by the sample schedule used for analysis. Combining all pesticide parameters into one cover would have made a cover with way too many items to practically look at. Besides, Excel, which was used in the processing, wouldn't have handled so many items in one worksheet. Item names are the names of the constituents themselves, unless the name becomes more than 16 characters long. In that case, the item name becomes the parameter code. Parameters with the potential for remarks will have a item for the associated remark. So, the item called benzine will have another item called benzine.rmk. When data are plotted to the screen by my program site_analysis, the program will check if a remark field is associated with the constituent and plot the remark value. That's all I can think of now, but call if you have questions. Les
