# METADATA Data Description:
#
# Abstract:	This data set contains groundwater data for radium-226 at six wells in Iowa.
# The wells were sampled by the Regional Aquifer-System Analysis (RASA) Program
# in 1980 or 1981. The wells were later sampled by the NAWQA Program in 2005 or 2007.
# The data are used in an analysis of the temporal variability of radium-226.
#
# Radium-226 results for the RASA samples are for pcode 09510--alpha emitting radium-226,
# filtered water, planchett method.
#
# Radium-226 results for the NAWQA samples are for pcode 09511--radium-226, filtered water,
# radon method.
#
# Data were retrieved from the NAWQA Internal Data Warehouse on or about February 13, 2008.
# RASA data were obtained from the data table in the RASA report:
# Siegel, D.I., 1989, Geochemistry of the Cambrian-Ordovician aquifer system in the Northern
# Midwest, United States: U.S. Geological Survey Professional Paper 1405-D.
#
# The data will be used in a report to characterize the Cambrian-Ordovician Aquifer System
# as part of the U.S. Geological Survey, National Water-Quality Assessment Program.
