# METADATA Data Description:
#
# Abstract: This data set contains NAWQA groundwater data on the number of pesticides detected and the total
# concentration of detected pesticides for two samples collected at each of 26 wells in a well
# network (WMIC) in eastern Wisconsin and the Michigan Upper Peninsula. This information is
# based on pesticides data retrieved from the NAWQA Internal Data Warehouse on or about
# March 05, 2008.
#
# These data are used for the analysis of near decadal-scale changes in pesticides by looking at changes
# in the number of pesticides detected and the total concentration of pesticides detected in two samples
# collected at each well of two networks. One network of wells is located in the Minneapolis-St. Paul
# (Twin Cities) Metropolitan Area of Minnesota and western Wisconsin in the Upper Mississippi River Basin
# (UMIS) NAWQA study unit. One network of wells is located in eastern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of
# Michigan in the Western Lake Michigan Drainages (WMIC) NAWQA study unit.
#
# The data will be used in a report to characterize the Cambrian-Ordovician Aquifer System as part of the
# U.S. Geological Survey, National Water-Quality Assessment Program.
