# METADATA Data Description:
#
# Abstract:	This data set contains NAWQA groundwater data for nitrate (nitrate + nitrite) samples
# collected from 26 NAWQA wells from the WMIC sampling network in 1995 and again in
# 2002. These data were used as part of the analysis of near decadal-scale changes in
# nitrate concentrations.
#
# Data were retrieved from the NAWQA Internal Data Warehouse on or about February 13, 2008.
# The data will be used in a report to characterize the Cambrian-Ordovician Aquifer System
# as part of the U.S. Geological Survey, National Water-Quality Assessment Program.
#
# All nitrate non-detections are recensored to < 0.05 for purposes of comparison.
#
#
# SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION:
# PROCEDURES USED:
#	PROCESS STEP:
#
# The data are a subset of data retrieved from the NAWQA Internal Data Warehouse on or about
# February 13, 2008.

#
#
# ***************************************************************************************************************
# *Analysis of near decadal-scale changes in nitrate concentrations uses samples collected at each well during *
# *the first decade of NAWQA and the second decade of NAWQA. Two well networks were sampled during each decade *
# *of NAWQA, one in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area (UMIS study unit) and one in eastern Wisconsin and the *
# *Upper Peninsula of Michigan (WMIC study area). *
