# REPORT_ARCHIVAL_DATA_SET: radchem.modified_data.txt
#
# This data set contains ground-water field parameter,
# major ion, trace element, and nutrient data retrieved from the NAWQA Internal
# Data Warehouse (http://infotrek.er.usgs.gov/pls/nawqa_www) on Sept. 16, 2005.
# For each constituent with concentrations below multiple Laboratory Reporting
# Levels (LRLs), the data were examined in order to determine the highest LRL.
# Reported cocentrations above the lowest LRL, but below the highest LRL, were
# censored to the highest LRL. This enables the use of all the data in non-
# parametric statistical analysis without making assumptions about the distribution
# of the data below the LRL (Helsel and Hirsh, 1992).
# It also contains data from ancillary environmental variables
# that characterize the area within 500-meters around a well. It also
# contains data on USGS gamma-ray surveys and from the USGS NURE program.
# The data were used in SIR2007-5037 to characterize the occurrence of Uranium
# and 222Radon in Glacial and Bedrock Aquifers in the Northern United States,
# 1993-2003 as part of the U.S. Geological Survey, National
# Water-Quality Assessment Program.
