Summary

These data were released prior to the October 1, 2016 effective date for the USGS’s policy dictating the review, approval, and release of scientific data as referenced in USGS Survey Manual Chapter 502.8 Fundamental Science Practices: Review and Approval of Scientific Data for Release. These data present a ground-water inventory of existing geospatial data and other information needed to determine the extent and characteristics of the aquifers in the Tahoe Basin. Purpose

These data were developed to represent hydrogeologic units within the Lake Tahoe basin in support of the Lake Tahoe ground-water inventory. The intended uses of this data set include, but are not limited to, natural resource modeling, mapping, and visualization applications.
