GSPy

Keywords: data standard implementation

Domain: Geophysical

Language: Python

Description:

GSPy is a Python tool that implements a newly proposed geophysical data standard, called the GS convention, based on the NetCDF file format. The current implementation provides basic workflows to convert datasets from both tabular ASCII text and GeoTIFF raster input files into standardized NetCDF files. GSPy joins critical metadata on the geophysical survey design, processing parameters, and data variables directly to the digital data and exports fully documented NetCDF and NcML files suitable for publication, analysis, and distribution.
GSPy can read in metadata from CSV, ASEG-GDF, and TIF files to implement this data standard.
