Description:

The Fluvial Corridor Toolbox for QGIS provides quantitative application of the river style framework to support evidence-based river management. Many concepts from previous work have been implemented. Namely, calculation of riverscape feature heights above the water level, delineation of floodplain through the river network, use of swath profiles over raster data to characterize floodplain features on cross-sections, and tiled processing of very large raster datasets. These functionalities are based on high resolution DEM and landcover data to produce nested floodplain envelops.
