Updated CONUS river network attributes and geometry based on the NHDPlusV2, E2NHDPlusV2, and NWMv2.1 networks (ver. 3.0, November 2024)

Domain: Hydrology

Spatial Resolution: 1:100,000

Temporal Frequency: NA

Temporal Coverage: NA

Spatial Extent: CONUS

Source: USGS

Update Type: Static

Access: sciencebase.gov CSV; PARQUET; GPKG

Description:

Version 3.0 of the updated NHDPlusV2 network attributes (ENHD). The comid field joins to the NHDPlus version 2 flowline comid or catchment featureid. Attributes follow the NHDPlusV2 data model: many come directly from the NHDPlusV2, others are overridden by modifications from the National Water Model V2.1 (NWMv2.1) and “E2NHDPlusV2_us: Database of Ancillary Hydrologic Attributes and Modified Routing for NHDPlus Version 2.1 Flowlines” (E2NHDPlusV2), and those that depend on network connectivity are recalculated with the hydroloom R package.

Version 3.0 adds updated flowline geometry (enhd_nhdplus_flowlines.gpkg), non-dendritic connectivity (fromnode, tonode, divergence) and hydrosequence attributes consistent with that non-dendritic network. Attributes are available as csv, fst, parquet and GeoPackage.
