This publication includes three connected datasets inventorying interbasin transfers (IBTs) in the United States and Canada, including their features, geospatial details, and water transfer volumes (IBT Inventory Data.xlsx, Digitized_IBT.shp, and zip file of 25 IBT Time-Series Flow xlsx tables by state/province). These IBT datasets represent all known transfers of untreated water that cross a HUC4 boundary (in the U.S.) or a subdrainage area boundary (in Canada), characterizing a total of 641 IBT projects.
