Summary: USGS crews are responding to localized flash flooding events occurring on the Buffalo River Ponca and in/around Fayetteville in Arkansas and .
Stream gages in/around Fayetteville have shown rapid rises and with local flash flooding reported. The increased flows from rain and runoff are now decreasing as the rain continues to move off to the east. Flash flooding will be possible near the Buffalo River Ponca site over the next few hours as ongoing rain intensifies creating significant spikes in stream flows from rain and runoff expected.

• A crew of two measuring metro sites in and around Fayetteville.
In Alabama, moderate stream flooding is ongoing on Paint Rock River Near Woodville AL - USGS Water Data for the Nation & Flint River at Brownsboro, Al in the northeastern part of the state near Huntsville. No damage has been reported to either site.
