PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (OH) Minor to moderate flooding in Ohio.

Date: Sat, 04 Apr 2026 06:58:27 EDT

Summary: Minor to moderate flooding continues in Ohio.

An additional 1 to 3 inches of rain fell in a narrow band just south of the US Highway corridor last night. The watersheds hardest hit were smaller watersheds that flow into the Scioto or Kokosing River watersheds.

All gages are operating properly, and in fact one City Administrator telephoned me to thank me that the WaterAlert system truly does work even in the middle of the night.

Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana WSC will send two crews out today to measure high flows. The first crew will concentrate on smaller watersheds in north central Ohio while the second crew will focus on the Auglaize and Maumee river watersheds.

Cooperators will be notified via e-mail and measurements will be entered into NWS Slack.
