PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (OH) Minor to moderate flooding continues in Ohio.

Date: Fri, 03 Apr 2026 08:33:22 EDT

Summary: Minor to moderate flooding continues in northern Ohio.

Most of Ohio saw a break yesterday from the heavy rains that has occurred most of this week. Most gages in northern Ohio, approximately from US Highway 30 and north are still in either minor or moderate flood category. This includes river gages in the Sandusky, Maumee, Vermilion, Tuscarawas and Black River watersheds.

All gages are working properly this morning.

As a result of the lull in rain, the Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana WSC response is also winding down today. Two crews will be out measuring recessions on the Black River, and the Tuscarawas River today. More rain is expected this evening along the US Highway 30 corridor, so we have crews lined up for tomorrow if needed.

Cooperators will be notified of our actions today and measurements will be entered in NWS Slack application.
