PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (NV) Crews measuring high water in Las Vegas area today

Summary: Storms have caused minor flooding and two crews are being deployed today.

Storms in the Las Vegas, NV area (Clark County, NV, Nye County, NV, and Inyo County, CA) yesterday caused high flows on the Las Vegas Wash and Amargosa River. 24-hour precipitation totals for the storms have ranged from about 0.5 to 1.0 inch in the Las Vegas metro area. Two USGS crews are deploying to make discharge measurements.
