Summary: Response to continued flooding in Texas
We are still having rainfall in Central Texas, but the most intense rainfall has shifted to the west. This is causing flooding on the Frio and Nueces Rivers. We currently have 5 gages that are in action stage flooding and 1 that is in minor stage flooding.
We have 7 crews out in the field today.
San Antonio: Five crews are actively working in the field. One crew is making a flood measurement on the Nueces River, while another is doing the same on the Medina River. A third crew is making repairs at the Frio River in Tilden, TX, ahead of anticipated higher flows. Meanwhile, a fourth crew has completed a repair at a non-flooded site. The final crew is flagging high-water marks (HWMs) at the Guadalupe River near Bergheim, TX.
Austin: One crew working on a repair at a gage and another doing water quality sampling.
San Angelo: No crews in the field today
15 measurements made at 12 sites on July 14th, 2025.
