PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (TX) Flooding in Texas

Summary: Floodwaters are moving downstream.

Yesterday, our team of technicians successfully conducted 28 discharge measurements in response to flood conditions and rating development.

Current NWS Flood Status (source: National Water Dashboard)

Major Flood Stage: 2 sites
Moderate Flood Stage: 6 sites
Minor Flood Stage: 19 sites
Action Stage: 15 sites

We are continuing to monitor and measure floodwaters as they move downstream. No measurements are scheduled for Houston over the weekend; however, they are planning to measure the Trinity early next week. San Antonio is meeting this afternoon to discuss possible flood measurements this weekend. At present, there are no plans in Fort Worth to make measurements this weekend. Some additional crews may be out this weekend, and we will update in future project alerts.

Rainfall is expected to exit Texas over the weekend.
