PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (OH) High Water in Ohio

Date: Thu, 08 May 2025 12:30:54 EDT

Summary: High water in Ohio.

From May 2 through May 6, 2025 three to five inches of rain has fallen over a large portion of Ohio. The rain was spaced out over a five-day period and came down gently enough such that any major flooding did not occur.

Over the past two days, four USGS flood crews have been measuring the Cuyahoga River and Grand River near Cleveland and the Blanchard River near Findlay, Ohio. River stages are at the action stage on the Blanchard River and were at action stage to near minor flooding on the Cuyahoga and Grand River. One other crew was measuring the Scioto River to fulfill rating gaps.
