Date: Thu, 01 May 2025 12:57:06 EDT

Summary: Recent heavy rainfall over the past few days has led to significant and continued flooding in Oklahoma and North Texas.

Rainfall has tapered off and for the next 3 days does not look like there is a lot of rain forecast for areas that have received significant rainfall. Heavy rainfall amounts will shift to Southeast Oklahoma and Central Texas.

Several sites in both Oklahoma and Texas are currently above action stage, with forecasts indicating that many are expected to reach moderate (13) to major (6) flood stage. The majority of these sites are located in Oklahoma, with a few situated along the Texas-Oklahoma border, and a few around the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex.

Current Status: (7) Action, (18) Minor, (6) Moderate, and (4) Major.

All streamgages are currently operational. The offices actively responding to the flooding situation include Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Lubbock, Fort Worth and San Angelo. A total of 12 crews are in the field, making measurements.
