Summary: Crews are out measuring the lower Ohio River today and tomorrow in support of forecasting efforts by the NWS.
While the major category flooding across the Ohio River Valley has largely subsided, there are still a few locations in the lower portion of the basin where the flood crest is actively moving through. OKI will have one crew out today and again tomorrow measuring at two locations on the Ohio River that are critical handoff points between the NWS Ohio River Forecast Center and the NWS Lower Mississippi Forecast Center. All gages impacted by the flood over the past two weeks have now been repaired or reinstalled throughout the OKI area and are fully operational.
