Summary: Lower Mississippi-Gulf staff are in the field on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, in response to a recent storm event that has caused moderate to major flooding in Arkansas and Tennessee.

Arkansas:

1. Buffalo River near Harriet, AR – 07056700 (repaired)
2. Eleven Point River near Ravenden Springs, AR – 07072000 (repaired)
3. Lake Maumelle at State Hwy 10 near Wye, AR – 072632966 (site
destroyed)

• Surface water measurements – Streamflow moderate to major flooding,
targeting high flow measurements.
1. White River at Newport, AR – 07074500 – Large staff effort required
to measure overbank flow.

• Rapid Deployment Gage (RDG)

data.

Tennessee:
• Down Gages
1. South Fork Forked Deer River Near Owl City, TN – 07027720
(potentially destroyed, visiting tomorrow 4-9)

• Surface water measurements – Streamflow moderate to major flooding,
targeting high flow measurements.

Many of the streams have reached peak and receding. Continuing to measure flood waters as they move downstream on the White and Black Rivers in Arkansas.
