Summary: The OKI Water Science Center is currently responding to minor flooding across the Ohio River Valley with more significant flooding forecast over the coming days.
Several inches of rain has already fallen across large portions of the Ohio Valley over the past 24 hours causing minor flooding in many areas.
The OKI WSC has 22 crews out today making measurements in all 3 states. Only one gage is currently down and is expected to be repaired by early this afternoon. More significant flooding is still anticipated over the next 72 hours so our crews will continue to be out measuring throughout the event.
Measurements made this morning have already been relayed to the National Weather Service and OKI personnel are participating in numerous inter-agency briefings throughout the day.
