Summary: Continued dry conditions provide an opportunity to obtain extreme low flow measurements at partial record sites.
80 discrete discharge measurements were made between 11/4-11/6 at partial record sites that comprise our low flow and drought networks. These measurements, in part, provide estimates of low-flow statistics as needed for the equitable management and permitting of water resources in New Jersey. These measurements were made in anticipation of a potential drought warning in NJ given the dry conditions over the past month+. These sites are measured twice a year, normally during spring base flow (higher base flow) followed by a fall base flow (lower base flow) within the same WY, however the current conditions provided an opportunity to obtain a data point at an extreme level.
