PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (NM) Flood Response continues after record-breaking rainfall in Roswell, NM

Summary: Flood measurements continue in Southeast New Mexico from the record-breaking rainfall in Roswell, NM.

As the water recedes in the Roswell, NM area the flows have begun to rise in the Pecos River. Two employees from the NMWSC Roswell Field Office have begun making high-flow measurements on the Pecos River. The employees from the NMWSC Roswell Field Office have repaired one gage and will begin flagging HWMs at impacted sites for slope-area measurements. There is one more site that needs to be repaired and the site 08394500 RIO FELIX AT OLD HWY BRD NR HAGERMAN, NM has been destroyed by the flooding.
