PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (TN) LMG WSC Flood Activities in East Tennessee

Summary: Teams focused on repairing gages and collecting high-water marks in eastern Tennessee

Field crews from the Knoxville field office were able to repair one streamgage and bring data back online at Big Limestone Creek near Limestone (03466208).

The streamgage at Nolichucky River Below Nolichucky Dam was repaired, but the stilling well was damaged and currently unable to provide accurate data.

Two streamgages in Tennessee are still down.

Measurements and high-water marks are being collected along the Nolichucky River near Lowland (03467609), Nolichucky River Below Nolichucky Dam (03466500), Big Limestone Creek near Limestone (03466208), and Nolichucky River at Embreeville (03465500).

The entire streamgage and nearby bridge at Nolichucky River at Embreeville was destroyed. Teams are currently surveying in high-water marks to obtain peak stage record.

Teams will continue to collect high-water marks and update peak stage information as it becomes available.
