PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (TN) LMG - Response to Helene with high water in Tennessee

Summary: Peak of record are being documented and measured at several gages near the border of Tennessee and North Carolina.

A crew from the Knoxville, TN field office are actively measuring streams in north-east Tennessee.

Measurements have been made at French Broad near Newport (03455000), Pigeon River at Newport (03461500), and working to collect one on the Nolichucky River at Embreeville (03465500)

All Streamgages in the area are currently operational.

The crew is on standby to help assist with replacing equipment and making measurements to support SAWSC in the vicinity of Asheville, NC over the weekend (28th and 29th).
