Summary: High flow measurements are ongoing across portions of Georgia and the Carolinas as flood conditions continue as a result of the heavy rainfall from Tropical Storm Debby.
NC deployed nine teams today to make high flow measurements. They made sixty-two total measurements at thirty-five sites, including one velocimetry measurement. Sites were split between flashy urban and larger main stem rivers. A new peak for period of record (POR) was obtained at 0214291555. A peak period of record for gage height was obtained at 0209399200. Measurements at 02094770 are the highest since 2012 and all are in the top 5 highest. Measurements were made at a number of new sites to help build ratings. Tomorrow, they will be evaluating the need for more mainstem measurements.
