PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (FL) Flooding Continues Throughout the Tampa Bay Region

Summary: Weather conditions have improved in Florida, but flooding remains as rivers begin to crest.

Flooding continues to be an issue around the Tampa Bay region. Water levels on the Anclote, Myakka, Peace, Withlacoochee Rivers are expected to crest over the next couple of days.

The Tampa office had 8 teams out yesterday that visited 18 sites and made 16 measurements. Period of record measurement was made at 02300017, with the rest falling within the top 5.

Today, 7 teams have been deployed to continue with highwater measurements, as well as repairs. There have been some equipment issues as the water levels have continued to rise that will be addressed today, but no destroyed gages.
