PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (TX) East Texas flooding is letting up. Crews getting some rest today.

Date: Sat, 11 May 2024 11:58:27 EDT

Summary: Most of the flooding in the OTWSC is now concentrated in East Texas. As most rivers are now receding.

Precipitation amounts are finally decreasing over the entire OTWSC. However, forecasted rains are now indicating
precipitation covering most of the OTWSC area with some amounts from 1-4 inches over the next several days. Most
flooding is dropping into the moderate and minor flood stage with the only major flooding now in the Houston area.

As of Saturday morning (5/11):

Crews are getting some much needed rest over the weekend and continue to monitor their area and prepare crews to
deploy if forecasted rain occurs.
