Summary: Heavy rains in central Ohio have pushed some rivers to minor flooding.
One to two inches of rain over saturated grounds have fallen in central Ohio. Some sites in the Newark Ohio area are in Action stage or Minor flooding (NWS terminology) at this time.
No gages are in peak of record or are destroyed, however one site, Raccoon Creek near Granville Ohio, was relocated off the bridge due to bridge construction has water halfway up to the gage on its relocated spot. This site also has water quality associated with it, so we will be closely monitoring this site.
At present we have one crew measuring sites in close proximity to each other in Newark Ohio. With continuing rains overnight, I expect to send more crews out tomorrow.
I have notified the local cooperators and the National Weather Service.
