PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (CA) Moderate flooding in Southern Cal

Date: Tue, 23 Jan 2024 14:02:14 EST

Summary: Mid Pacific Storm focus on Southern California

Moderate flooding reported through out the State but was more concentrated in Southern California, particularly in San Diego County where
precipitation amounts in excess of 3 inches in 24 hours were not uncommon.

Higher intensity and totals were noted along the coast where Point Loma reported a total of 4.50 inches and Lindberg Field International Airport came in with a whopping 3.32 inches. Quite uncommon for costal San Diego County. Some Urban flooding was reported as a result but was not widespread. There have been isolated reports of property damage from water, no landslides that I am aware of at this time.

Moderate flows have been reported through out the State but no PORs were reported. Yesterday we had 32 Teams out, several from each of our 8 FOs. Measurement totals are not available as of this notice.
Mop up operations continue today, skies are clearing and we expect to be back in the low 70's by the weekend.
