PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (NJ) Flash Flooding in New Jersey

Summary: Isolated heavy rain associated with a slow moving coastal low caused flash flooding mostly concentrated in northeast New Jersey and along the eastern coastline.

Up to 4+ inches of precipitation has fallen in areas to this point.

Six 2-person crews are in the field making high-water discharge measurements concentrated in northeast New Jersey at faster reacting streams.

No gages are damaged and no peaks of record at this time.
