Summary: The CAWSC continues to repair gages after TS Hilary floods the Palm Springs and Whitewater area.
Recap of the cleanup after the runoff caused by the remnents of H Hilary. Several streamgages in the Palm Springs and Whitewater basin were damaged during the event. 14 discharge measurements were made in this area as well as the Santa Ana R basin and the RDGs installed around the Tulare Lakebed.
Gages were repaired yesterday and today:
1104630 Christianos Creek: gage repaired
10257500 Falls Creek near Whitewater: Gage inaccessible due to road damage.
10257600 Mission Creek near Desert Hot Springs: Orifice repair soon.
10257720 Chino Creek near Tramway near Palm Springs: gage repaired.
10259300 Whitewater River near Indio: Gage repaired.
10259050 Palm Canyon Wash near Cathedral City: Gage repaired.
11059300 Santa Ana R at E St nr San Bernardino: orifice riddled with sand from high water and was repaired.
11065000 Lyle Creek at Colton: vandalized Friday evening and was repaired.
1109700 Lake Piru nr Piru: vandalized before the storm and was secured.
10262700 Mojave R at Dagget: vandalized early Friday morning; repaired before COB Tuesday 8/22.
Two indirect measurements are in process.
No additional project alerts will be issued by the CAWSC for this event.
