PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (NV) NV high water cleanup continues

Date: Mon, 27 Mar 2023 11:14:48 EDT

Summary: NVWSC crews are continuing with high water cleanup.

Operations in NV are starting to normalize with the exception of additional work from the high water. A HWM campaign is starting today in Eureka, NV with assistance from personnel from OK-TX and New England Water Science Centers. In addition, a second RDG is being installed in Eureka, and discharge measurements are being made at the first RDG to develop a skeleton rating for that site. A crew is also being deployed to service the QW sondes in the Tahoe basin. Gage repairs at gages in the Walker River and Meadow Valley Wash basins are being planned. One gage may still be inaccessible due to a washed-out road and we will continue to work with the local DOT. We are also planning to survey at least one indirect measurement this week.
