Summary: Minor to moderate flooding (NWS terminology) in the Cincinnati Ohio area.
Nearly 2 inches of rain has fallen on already saturated soils in southwest Ohio overnight. The river basin most affected is the Mill Creek river basin which flows into Cincinnati, Ohio.
The river stages along the Mill Creek already peaked overnight, however, we are sending one crew (two people) to capture high flow measurements along the Mill Creek. They will also attempt to measure high flows at a crest stage gage on the Little Miami River, if the stage remains high enough.
USGS will be entering measurements into NWSChat today. Also, the Louisville Corps of Engineers was notified of our actions via e-mail today.
