PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (CA) flooding in the Santa Rosa/Ukiah area

Summary: flooding in the Santa Rosa/Ukiah area

Over the last 24 hours, high rainfall and strong winds affected northern CA, with higher amounts falling between Eureka and Santa Rosa, and north of Redding. Those areas received about 2.5 to 3 inches, with some patches receiving over 5 inches and as much as 10 inches. This morning, over 350,000 people are reported to be without power.

The National Weather Service reports one station on the Russian River is currently above flood warning stage with another expected to reach flood warning stage tomorrow. The Navarro River is currently above flood stage, and several sites on the Napa River and Sacramento basin are predicted to reach monitor stage tomorrow or later in the week.

4 crews totaling 7 personnel are deployed to measure high flows in the Santa Rosa-Ukiah area. One crew of 2 was deployed to repair a gage at a reservoir in the Santa Cruz area.
