PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (NV) Northern Nevada storm response update

Date: Thu, 05 Jan 2023 17:28:27 EST

Summary: Storms caused some higher flows in Northern Nevada

We experienced high flows in the Carson City/Reno area from storms Dec 27-Jan 2. Several USGS crews deployed and made high flow measurements, repaired gages, and also made daily visits to turbidity monitoring stations around Lake Tahoe. The gage network operated well during this time with only minor issues from snow/ice. We are preparing for the next round of storms, which is scheduled to occur 1/9-1/11.
