PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (DE MD) Hurricane Ian

Summary: Monitoring deployment in Response to Hurricane Ian in Maryland and Delaware.

The MD-DE-DC has been issued a Mission Assignment from FEMA for the deployment of rapid deployment gages (RDGs) and pressure transducers (PTs) to provide local communities and stakeholders data in response to the remnants of Hurricane Ian in Southern Maryland and Delaware. The storm sensors will be deployed to capture peak water levels for emergency management, response, and recovery needs.
A total of 4 crews (3 for installation and 1 for media documentation) are installing pressure transducers and a RDG in the following locations in Maryland: St. Mary’s County, Wicomico County and Worcester County; and in Sussex County, Delaware. Installations are expected to be complete by the end of today, Friday, October 30, 2022.
