PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (NV) Monsoon storms impact Las Vegas

Summary: Strong monsoons caused peaks at sites in and around Las Vegas, NV

Strong monsoon storms producing heavy localized precip occurred on 7/28 and 7/29. One crew was deployed on 7/28 to measure high water in the Meadow Valley Wash and Virgin River basins. One crew was deployed on 7/29 to flag high-water marks in the Las Vegas Wash basin. Additional crews will deploy on 7/30 and 7/31 to flag and survey high-water marks for indirect measurements. At this time, indirect measurements are planned for 7 sites but an additional 9 sites need to have field visits to review the need for indirect measurements.
