Summary: Minor flooding occurring in Northwestern parts of Oregon due to precipitation during the past 24 hours.
Generally wet conditions over the past week; as a result, 4 USGS streamflow stations in the NW area are at or above NWS action Stage with more impacts in the smaller streams. In addition, higher sediment loads are expected today on affected streams, especially in recently burned areas.
Field staff are responding from the Portland Office, 3 crews are making high-flow discharge measurements today for rating calibration, and sampling crews from Portland are sediment sampling in the NW Basins. Crews are deploying Autosamplers and making other arrangements to sample downstream of 2020 burned areas.
