Summary: Minor riverine and coastal flooding from nor'easter in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
The nor'easter brought from 1-6 inches of rainfall over MA and RI with eastern MA getting 2-4 inches and part of Cape Cod received 4-6 inches. This resulted in only minor riverine flooding. Coastal flooding was also minor and no temporary storm-tide sensors were deployed as it was not an astronomical high tide.
There were no peaks of record and no gages were damaged.
Three teams (6 staff) were deployed to eastern Massachusetts, Cape Cod, and Rhode Island on Wednesday. Approximately 10 high-flow measurements were made at 7 streamgages in those locations. Four streamgages measured have periods of record of less than 2 years. This will assist in continued rating development
