PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (AL TN) Moderate flooding in northern Alabama and middle Tennessee

Summary: Heavy rains fell throughout northern Alabama and central Tennessee resulting in moderate flooding at several streamgages within the Lower Tennessee River and Duck River basins.
The areas of northern AL near Huntsville and central TN near Columbia received over 10 inches of rain during since Sunday (9/19/2021).
Two streamgages were damaged by the floodwaters and crews from Tennessee were able to repair the stations Monday (9/20/2021).
Four crews from Alabama and Tennessee were deployed to collect mid- to high-flow measurements.
