PROJECT ALERT NOTICE (NJ) Minor Flooding (NJ)

Summary: Minor flooding caused by severe T-storms 7/8/21 followed by TS Elsa 7/9/21

Minor flooding in eastern portion of NJ, specifically the NE, caused by severe thunderstorms on 7/8/2021 (up to 2.5" hail stones reported in Bergen County) followed by TS Elsa on 7/9/21. High end localized event totals for both storms was over 5 inches in 24 hr period.

No P.O.R. peaks occurred and no gages were damaged.

8 employees (4 solo and 2 teams of 2) were deployed to make mid- to high-stage discharge measurements for rating calibration/development.
